The first Gifts & Grub Summer Festival, organised by Embee Marketing, took place on the 16th & 17th July, in the house and grounds of Wentworth Woodhouse, Rotherham, attracting crowds who flocked to enjoy the weekend event.
Shoppers got to explore the beautiful historic house, whilst browsing the stalls packed full of amazing crafts, gifts and food. The sun shone on the event, making the outside picnic and sitting area very popular, especially as the ‘Fuggle Bunny’ Real Ale Bar and ‘5 O’ Clock Club’ Gin Bar were close by!
The crowds were entertained by Dinnington Brass Band & Sheffield Flute Choir playing summery tunes throughout the weekend, with Magic Shows, Punch & Judy shows, donkey rides and fairground rides for the kids to enjoy.
Traffic and parking have been an issue in the village of Wentworth at previous events, but to combat this and make the day run smoothly, Embee Marketing hired a traffic management company, as they wanted their first event at this beautiful venue to be remembered for all the right reasons. Feedback from visitors was great, with one shopper saying, “Absolutely brilliant – we were able to park quickly and easily with no queuing through the village!”
Embee Marketing are now gearing up for their next Gifts & Grub event at Wentworth Woodhouse, which will be a festive themed weekend held on the 10th & 11th of December. Visitors can expect lots of amazing stalls, ideal for Christmas shopping & Santa will be there too!
